Job Description
The primary function for this technician is to perform electrical design analysis. The position will need to coordinate all activities with drawings and test documentation of electronic products to provide to the manufacturing plant(s) for specific customer orders. The role will also provide technical support to Sales, Customer Service, Manufacturing, and Marketing, as needed. This job requires a good level of electrical and/or mechanical design and analysis competency.
Job Responsibilities:
- Support the development of new R&D equipment and prototype modules
- Perform electronic product RMA failure analysis, generate root cause report and utilize quality notification tools for escalation of issues.
- Design and/or assist in electrical test fixture design, assembly for prototype and production testing, cable prep, and assemble as per wiring diagrams.
- Responsible to demonstrate product functionality to pre-defined test criteria and utilizing various test equipment.
- Assist team members navigate day to day situations and challenges.
- Follows company standards and procedures where they apply.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- S. degree or equivalent in Electrical Engineering/Technology preferred but not required
- 4 or more years of professional experience in related field
- Possess excellent soldering skills to perform surface mount pcba repair.
- Read and understand all related drawings including, but not limited to assembly drawings, bill of material and test procedures.
- Familiarity with Altium and Solidworks.
- Experience with programming languages (LabView, C, Visual Basic)
- Knowledge of electronics manufacturing is a plus
- Ability to display mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Detailed oriented with good interpersonal skills
